prayer for fuel

all the sadness in the world
stood still.

particle by particle,
vertebrae by vertebrae,
all the sadness in the world
could stand still
on her own 2 legs
waitressing 6 tables, 6 packs,
6 lovers and iphones.

the wall is now
a vertical fountain.
the wall is now the hill.
the pool, the landslide, the mountains
the wall is now the love.
i see god in all this beauty
and all i can pray for
is fuel to take flight
