how beautiful are you
to cover me
against all prayers
ears un-intertwined
nowhere to be found,
resistance
complete.

you’re so quiet, my fingers
dare not touch
such warmth
to say i thank you
for your love.

only smiling will do,
only quieter walks.

and through the warmest of chords
the icicles are singing back it seems
“kin, get some rest
kin, lay your legs,
fall asleep.”
alas, my concern
how can i be selfish enough
to sleep through all that embroidery of yours
singing yourself to sleep,
hybernating
and i listen
trying my best
to hum along
